Handsome Tiger, an Anishinaabe Métis and North African music producer and DJ based in Vancouver, BC, has joined Midnight Agency. Known for his seamless blend of traditional Indigenous sounds and contemporary bass music, Handsome Tiger has established himself in the West Coast festival circuit and the broader North American music scene.
Rooted in his cultural heritage, Handsome Tiger’s sets fuse sound system culture and global bass, creating high-energy performances. He has become a popular act at festivals including Bass Coast, Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Envision, Mutek, and Texas Eclipse, where his dynamic sets continue to capture attention.
As a key figure in Vancouver’s underground music scene, Handsome Tiger actively supports and contributes to the city's bass music community. His performances have placed him on stage alongside artists such as EarthGang, DJ Shub, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Ky-Mani Marley, and Sister Nancy, among others. In addition to live shows, Handsome Tiger continues to expand his discography, most recently with the release of his 2024 EP, Odisseia.
Handsome Tiger’s approach to music is deeply personal and reflective of his experiences. “If I’m at a lack of words or want to express something, I’ll create music around what I’m seeing or feeling,” he says. This passion for expressing emotion through sound continues to fuel his evolving production and live performances.
