Arielle Soucy is a trained singer, instrumentalist, author and composer active since 2019 in Montreal. Soothing and benign, her music reveals a peculiar glance on soul and psychedelic-folk, led by aerial vocal arrangements and minimalistic, yet impressive acoustic guitar playing. Her bittersweet stance speaks for itself through Shame and Waterway and Unresolved Collection, her two self-produced debut EPs.

Soucy is now back with her first full length album, self-recorded in her countryside home studio and finalized at Montreal’s Breakglass Studio with co-producer Alexandre Larin (Larynx). The eleven songs on Il n’y a rien que je ne suis pas (French for “There is nothing I am not”) bring us to the heart of her minimalistic and organic universe. The country interpretation of her guitar playing, combined with her expressive vocal melodies, is inspired by the codes of the folk tradition, but in a contemporary, personal and experimental way. This blend throws listeners into a timeless, magical zone where the artist humbly confides in us how she tries to detach herself from her ego.

Surrey-based Asad Khan (formerly Khanvict) is an escape artist. His cinematic production style, which has led to over 10 million streams online, transports the listener to the desert expanses and jungle paradises from which he borrows inspiration. Khan deftly manages to stay close to his Pakistani roots, while drawing  from artists like Clozee and Bonobo to create a contemporary low-end homage to his homeland. 

Last year saw Khan’s ‘Closer’ receive the Prism Prize, Canada’s top music video award. The politically charged song has racked up almost 5 Million plays on YouTube, seen him gain over 60K subscribers on the platform, and garnered global press from Rolling Stone to Times of India to The Hindu. The short film supporting the song was a collaboration involving filmmaker Anjali Nayar, model / activist Seema Hari and a hauntingly beautiful exploration of issues of colorism, casteism and misogyny in South Asian culture. That song, and Khan's recent remix of AR Rahman’s ‘Tere Bina’, were both featured in the recent hit Disney show ‘Ms Marvel’. 

Coming up in the South Asian community of Surrey, BC, Khan’s heart has always been in the live experience. His recent Arrival EP and tour with NYC-based violinist Raaginder was a visionary experience combining custom visuals, live instrumentation and live electronica. This show, symbolizing  the coming of age of an entire community, toured across North America before culminating in a sold out performance at the 1,200 capacity Commodore in Vancouver, where the artists continued to break boundaries by becoming the first South Asian, Pakistani, and Sikh artists to sell out the iconic room.

Balkan Bump is the global electronic music project orchestrated by trumpet player, producer and ethnomusicologist Will Magid.

Balkan Bump’s music fuses heavy electronic production with global music influences including traditional Balkan brass melodies, Middle Eastern sounds and American hip hop. The Balkan Bump live show highlights Magid’s expertise as an orchestrator, ranging in size from a solo performer to a 12-piece band featuring a menagerie of global instruments including sitar, saz, oud, clarinet and trumpet. The live performance’s popularity has brought the project to global renown with performances at the world’s biggest music stages including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lightning In A Bottle, as well as beloved jazz, blues and world music festivals including Harvest Music Festival and CA WorldFest, and numerous appearances at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

You can’t know Beats Antique until you’ve been a part of its journey, and experienced the act as an entity with a life of its own. Big Gigantic are veterans of blending electronic dance music with their live instruments to create Big G's truly unique sound; a sound that is as thoughtful as it is danceable. They draw light out of an inimitable mélange of impressive instrumentation, cinematic production, propulsive percussion, and, of course, triumphant saxophone. The genre-bending Denver, CO pair—Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken—uplift with every subsequent album and show, mixing musically mature melodies with addictive beats and samples that crosses all styles of music from jazz to hip hop, funk to dubstep. 

After emerging in 2009, Big Gigantic first amplified a message of light on Brighter Future in 2016. In the midst of the Global Pandemic, they continued to create, pushing forward towards what would become their eighth full-length offering, Brighter Future 2—which was released on June 10, 2022. For years Anishinaabe DJ and producer Les Boulanger — known by audiences as Boogey the Beat — has toiled behind the scenes, laying the sonic foundations for other musicians’ anthems. As a longtime lover of hip-hop and rap, collaboration is his comfort zone. He’s worked with the likes of The Halluci Nation (formerly a Tribe Called Red) and Snotty Nose Rez Kids, playing stages across Turtle Island.

In homage to the sounds of a sundance, Boogey builds each song around a percussive heartbeat, then adds vocals and other instruments, letting the drum lead the way. He remembers walking up to one of his first childhood pow wows and hearing the big drum, a guiding force that stays with him today. 

While he hopes his music will resonate with revellers from all walks of life, he beams at the thought of Indigenous youth hearing pow wow and sundance songs for the first time at one of his shows. 

“It’s important to not forget that at one time it was illegal for us to sing these songs, play these drums, and go to these ceremonies,” he says. “Now it’s a time for celebration, and for us to take over the main stage.”

There’s usually two things that are guaranteed to happen at a Cazztek set: smiles and dancing. He’s paved his own way with a unique sound in the world of tech house, complete with cadences of playful sounds and driving basslines arranged in a flow that take you for a joyride you'll never want to stop. His presence in the music industry has placed him as one of the leading and most well rounded music producers under the pulse of the house music realm.

With his unmistakable baritone voice and 6-and-a-half-foot charm, Chali 2na has established himself as one of hip-hop's most celebrated and charismatic personalities.  Most well-known for co-founding music groups, Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, Chali released his debut solo album "Fish Outta Water" in 2009.  Since then, he has toured the world ten times over with his band known as House of Vibe and has collaborated with some of the industry’s most recognized and respected DJs and Musicians.  Breathing visual life into his musical past, Chali embarked on a 6-year journey to produce "Against the Current”, a multi-media project that combines a 5-part series of genre bending EPs with a coffee table artbook featuring his own original paintings, drawings, and photography.  After relocating from Chicago to LA in the early 80’s when he was entering his teens, he was instantly engulfed by the worlds of hip hop and graffiti.  Instinctively successful at marrying the two together, as his music career began to flourish, his artistic talents also expanded past the walls of city streets and onto canvases and into galleries.  Now, as Chali’s catalogues continue to grow he is finding unique ways to share his art with the world, and demand for it is rapidly growing.

Canada born, Conor Patton, better known as Conro, developed a passion for music at an early age. Adopting elements from his childhood music education, Conro has shaped a catchy signature sound in dance music with his upbeat, electro house tracks.

Conro received a wave of praise from his electro house and future bass production style. With his Connecting The Dots EP, Conro unveiled the first of many chart-toppers in his future in “Close”; which hit Billboard’s Dance Airplay Chart at #17. Though this style of music has brought him plenty of success, Conro chose to follow a style that aligned with his core ethos he wanted to convey to a wider audience: a vibrant, funky, and instrumentation driven soundscape while implementing his own impressive vocals.

Delhi 2 Dublin is a hybrid live/ electronic act whose concerts have been likened to '90 minutes of freebasing joy'. Famous for their energy onstage, the five member crew has played over 100 shows a year for the last decade at festivals like Electric Forest (USA), Woodford Folk (Australia) and Bali Spirit Festival (Indonesia). Connecting roots to future, D2D features a heavy electronic backbone with live traditional Indian instruments (dhol, tabla), fiddle, electric guitar, and the stunning punjabi-english vocals of frontman Sanjay Seran.

Since 2010 DR (aka Dirty Radio) have been crafting a satisfying synthesis of progressive soul, R&B and electronic music.  With their diverse musical influences, the multi instrumentalists and producers have been working tirelessly in their studio, racking up impressive Soundcloud and Spotify numbers and dropping tracks for such iconic labels such as Spinnin', Partyfine, Majestic Casual and Mad Decent.

Considered to be the Godfather of PowWowStep, DJ Shub has undoubtedly pioneered a growing genre of electronic music since his initial start with internationally-acclaimed group A Tribe Called Red.

Born Dan General, he is a Mohawk, turtle clan of the Six Nations of the Grand River located in Ontario, Canada. Since the creation of PowWowStep, he has grown more aware of the Indigenous way of life through his music, merging his heritage with his craft. “This style of music – there is so much culture in it, and that’s what makes it so original,” said DJ Shub.

As a solo artist, DJ Shub released his first EP “PowWowStep” in 2016 and has since played some of the biggest music festivals in North America. He’s also been featured in a number of national media outlets. His song “Indomitable” was notably handpicked by Sacha Baron Cohen as the theme music to his hit Showtime series, “Who Is America?”

DJ Shub is currently producing his first full-length album, due out Fall 2020. His new record will be brought to life on the big stage, a non-stop body-moving experience with vibrant visuals, live drummers, vocalists and instruments.

Fronted by powerhouse Lexie Jay (Vox) and backed by bandmates Marc Koecher (Keys/Synth/Guitar) and Jon Fedorsen (Drums/Synths), the genre-bending, alternative electronic project is amassing their cult of misfits and audiophiles, and indoctrinating them into their church of dark addictive beats.

Field Guide (Dylan MacDonald) is a weaver of worlds whose music is an intricate blend of inviting vocals wrapped in warm textures. Nominated for Pop Artist of the Year at the 2022 Western Canadian Music Awards, his self-titled sophomore album journeys between darkness and hopefulness, centered around unshakeable melodies. MacDonald describes his creative process as one where melody drives the spontaneous creation of lyrics, reflecting his internal world. The album, influenced by personal experiences and connections, was recorded across diverse locations, from a cabin near Riding Mountain National Park to studios in Montreal and Vancouver. "These are the truest, rawest songs that I’ve ever written. I’ve never felt so sure about something I’ve made before. And now, it’s yours.”

Five Alarm Funk is a horn-powered, percussion-fueled sonic and visual assault. Over 17 years of hard funking the band has burned up stages on four continents, released six studio albums and received two Juno Award nominations (Canadian Grammys). And this ride isn’t about to slow down. Five Alarm Funk is set to release their 7th studio album, Big Smoke in 2020. The 11 tracks get right to the roots of what Five Alarm Funk is all about: epic, intense arrangements, heavy groove and a ton of fun.

As drummer, vocalist, and band leader Tayo Branston puts it, “Big Smoke is the tighest, funkiest and most energized album we've ever created, it's the culmination of 17 years of creating, recording and performing together. That collaboration emerged out of a jam session with Too Many Zooz in front of thousands at the Winnipeg Folk Fetsival and turned into a string of concerts with Leo P joining Five Alarm Funk on stage.

For all the honing their studio craft, the Five Alarm Funk’s epic live show is still what defines the band. The sweat-drenched concerts are infused with an intense spirit of fun that breaks down barriers between band and audience and moves both into a manic dance party. Wild costumes, props, and choreography compliment the seriously tight arrangements and genre-mashing grooves. As Vancouver’s Georgia Straight put it “I lost control and went on a dance rampage... You guys blew my mind and body.”

That live show has taken Five Alarm Funk on dozens of North American coast to coast tours, performing at over 100 festivals in the last three years alone. The band has also begun to break ground abroad, with performances in Taiwan, Mexico, and a performance for international peacekeeping forces in Mali. Five Alarm Funk plans to keep the momentum going in 2020 with another busy summer of festivals and the band’s first European tour.

Lethal with a guitar in his hands, 21 year old Garret T. Willie first arrived on the scene at the young age of 10, opening the Alert Bay Music Festival before developing into a Blues guitar prodigy set to take the country by storm.

Born in Namgis/Kwakwaka’wakw (Alert Bay, BC), Garret has constructed his own sound, blending together Blues, Rock, and Country-Folk that is representative of his environment - rough and tough. His inspirations span various decades and genres from Ice Cube to BB King to Stevie Ray Vaughan, leaving Garret with an ear and touch that is beyond his years. The result is an unquenchable thirst to set the world on fire with his own brand of Hybrid Blues and Rock.

Garret T. Willie shocks crowds with a voice never heard before that sounds like gravel over honey, gritty yet sweet. Coupled with guitar playing and a performance that is out of this world, his music will bring you both to your feet cheering, and to your knees in tears. He is an experience of a lifetime.

Gone Gone Beyond is the brainchild of composer/producer David Block (The Human Experience - LA/NYC), and multi instrumentalist/singer/songwriters Danny Musengo (Iowa/NYC), Kat Factor (Santa Cruz), and Mel Seme (Cuba/Barcelona).

GRIIMM is the bass music project of producer, DJ, and touring guitar player Thomas Vittas. From his home of Toronto, CA, GRIIMM cultivates a digitally corrosive blend of energy and emotion carved out by a heavyweight sound. Having recorded and toured internationally with JUNO nominated Alternative act ThxSoMch, Vittas seeks to incorporate elements of electronic and analog with GRIIMM.

His records often combine sparkling synth work with heavy sub-basses and melodic euphoria. Additionally, GRIIMMs live sets have earned him a reputation in Toronto as a high energy DJ with eclectic range, supporting acts such as SVDDEN DEATH, Blanke, and Deathpact. His edits of classic Rock & Grunge records are consistent crowd favourites, earning attention both at shows, as well as SoundCloud and TikTok.

Guns is a Turkish, Austrian, Londoner with a passion for music…and dark humour.  A qualified architect and designer, she left her former career in March 2020 (nothing creates change quite like a global pandemic) and began pursuing her love of music on Twitch. Guns grew and honed her skills live on stream and quickly amassed a large and loyal following known as DYSFAM. A classically trained pianist since the age of 5, her visually hypnotic sets cross all genres with cool, vibrant art to produce a unique and distinct experience. Over the last 9 months she has performed on some of Twitch’s popular music events, including Femme House Fridays, Subset’s 40 Hour Work Week and SofiTukker’s Sunday Gundays. 

Handsome Tiger, an Anishinaabe Métis and North African music producer/DJ hailing from Turtle Island and currently based in Vancouver, BC, blends traditional sounds from his heritage with other Indigenous and contemporary electronic bass music. A familiar face in the West Coast music community, Handsome Tiger has performed at numerous shows and amassed a collection of releases. With a passion for bass music, he actively supports and contributes to Vancouver's underground scene and has gained popularity in the North American festival circuit, appearing at events such as Bass Coast, Shambhala, Envision, Lightning in a Bottle, Mutek, Texas Eclipse, and more. His DJ sets fuse various flavours of sound system culture and global bass sounds, igniting dance floors wherever he performs.

Combining Rock & Roll swagger & decades-deep blues style, The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer are relentless touring artists known for their high-energy, sweaty, dance-floor-boogying performances. They have recently toured the UK with St. Paul & The Broken Bones, the EU with Dr. Dog and XIXA and the US with Tinariwen. They have also shared the stage with Taj Mahal, Booker T Jones, Mother Mother, The Sheepdogs, and Serena Ryder and have played their fair share of festivals including: Winnipeg Folk Fest, Ottawa Blues Fest, Calgary Folk Fest, Montréal Jazz Fest, Vancouver Jazz Fest, Festival D’Été de Québec, and Regina Folk Festival.

jackLNDN is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer & producer, known for his all encompassing holistic approach to creating electronic music. It's unusual to find an artist that does everything themselves; write the lyrics, sing the vocals, compose the music, play the instruments, produce the track, mix it, master it and release it on their own label. That's exactly how jackLNDN works. Meaning his music is pure expression, untainted by commercial considerations or label influences. She’s a resident DJ at the Femme House Collective, founded by LP Giobbi and Hermixalot, regularly streaming on Twitch toraise awareness of under-represented genders in dance music. Her background as a professional athlete and sportsannouncer (including the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games) explain her big energy and advocacy for health andmovement.

Joshua Mbewe – Laxcity – is a Sheffield, UK-based, Ndola, Zambia-born artist whose music draws on imaginative, intricate soundscapes to create immersive electronica with emotional resonance.

His debut LP, Catharsis, issued in 2018, is a moving project coloured by orchestral influences that would set the stage for continued blends of high-octane, and often wistful, ambient and cinematic scores. In 2022, Laxcity played his first (sold-out) headline show in London, UK and completed his first international tour of Canada. He also made his festival debut at Amsterdam Dance Event; toured IE/UK with Slow Magic; and played Ministry of Sound Club’s main room. His upcoming 10-track kinder opposites mixtape (May 12, self-released via AWAL) is Laxcity’s highest-energy, hardest-hitting release to date – influenced by the bass music scene in Bristol, where he previously lived.

Heavy drums and aggressive synths join forces with rolling grooves and melodic lead lines to create a wide variety of slamming dance floor originals. Lesser known fact : Not limited to dance music, LWSD's music crosses into many territories. Luca Fogale’s 2016 debut, Safety, introduced a songwriter with a fine-tuned ear for warm, wool-sweater melodies, richly rendered narratives, and intimate autumnal ambiance, like Jeff Buckley timewarped into Bon Iver’s wood cabin. That album pegged Luca as an indie-folk phenom on the rise, with streaming stats well into the seven figures. Lucette is the moniker of Canadian artist Lauren Gillis, a soulful and emotive singer who self-describes her music as “country-infused dream-pop”. Mia enthralls listeners with a distinctive blend of Folk, Rock, and Blues and is making her mark in the Canadian folk music scene. Recently awarded Young Performer of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards, Kelly is swiftly gaining recognition as a poetic lyricist with a powerful and versatile voice.  With her knack for adapting the stories of the people she has connected with in her life, Mia is an imaginative storyteller who channels her raw and vulnerable emotions through her expertly crafted songs.

Where have all the riot grrrls gone? You ask – Miesha & The Spanks answer. If you’ve got a yearning for flashy yet classic hard rock, look no further – this Calgary-based duo has the guitar hero-worshiping, face melting, whisky belting sound that you’ve been seeking. A modern singer/guitarist and beloved fixture on the local scene, frontwoman Miesha Louie is the integral driving force behind Miesha & The Spanks. A mixed-Secwépemc artist living in Treaty 7 Territory, she’s devoted her entire career to inventing and playing instrumentally brilliant melodies that unleash her passions and her full-throated vocal tones. Percussionist Sean Hamilton (an accomplished singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist in his own right) is her psychic counterpart, intuitively punctuating her soulful choruses with a pounding intensity simultaneously that elevates heart rates and ceiling rafters.

Miina is a new musical project lead by front woman, Laura Mina Mitic. Along with her longstanding creative partners (Pat Ferguson, Lo Waight, Graham Keehn, Jamil Demers and Chelsea Kanstrup) the five-piece cut their teeth as the band Carmanah, performing across North America including at Edmonton Folk, Winnipeg Folk, Hillside and Rifflandia music festivals.

With producer Gus Van Go, they pulled the grooviest aspects from their original sound and combined it with new inspiration and musical maturity. The result is Miina’s debut EP - Slow Motion - released August 14, 2023. 

Miina has had a very exciting first year seeing two songs, Hiccup (ft. Lowell) and Pressure garnering successful radio play and performing at Rifflandia Festival, Song and Surf, Kaslo Jazz Fest and Laketown Shakedown to name a few.

Modern Biology has brought 'plant music' to the masses. Originally educated as a biologist, veteran musician Tarun Nayar brings his passion for nature and sound together in an ambient project that is organismic, immediate, uplifting, and deeply contextual. He uses modular synthesis, home built synthesizers and other analog equipment to improvise with the natural vibrations of a certain place and time - via plant bioelectricity, latent electromagnetic radiation, and even the earth’s resonant hum. Nicky Genesis is a Las Vegas based DJ/Producer raised in San Diego, CA. Driven and self taught, she has been DJing for over 15 years up and down the west coast, eventually expanding her shows to a world wide audience. She released her first track on Simplify Recordings in 2011 and since has continued to release on labels such as Night Bass, No Definition, Pinnacle Collective, Glo, Heavy Artillery, Build it, and Bohdi Collective, to name a few. For years she hosted her own radio show on Di.fm radio and has played on diverse stages from countless clubs & festivals all around the world. Nicky has her own unique sound ranging from deep, groovy & soulful, to pulsing bass driven house music and beyond. Her energy and performances take listeners on a journey leaving them with an experience. With multiple channels of growing supporting across the industry, the future shows to be very promising for this transcending producer.

Odario is a storyteller, a hip-hop junkie and a lover of many musical soundscapes. He is embedded in the beat and submerged in the bass. His solo project expresses all of these qualities; tackling the many sides of "beat poetry". Odario's parents grew up in a small village in Guyana. The music will reflect the raw heat of South American villages as well as the unique and intimate migration to the north. Odario is known for his work in Grand Analog (as songwriter and frontman). His distinctive voice and insightful lyrics have been part of the Grand Analog sound since their debut album, Calligraffiti, in 2007. As a performer and personality, Odario wears many hats and describes himself as a raconteur, an actor and a DJ. He’s currently hosting CBC Music’s afterdark program. As a founding member of Grand Analog, he co-wrote the songs for three albums, three EPs and several singles; generated over 65 syncs and been nominated for Sync Artist or Songwriter of the Year at the Canadian Sync Awards. Odario has also been featured on a number of other artist’s tracks including A Tribe Called Red single Ba Na Na with Haviah Mighty, the Ghost Caravan single Damn You, the Delhi 2 Dublin single Magic, the Sunshine Makers single Empathy and the Qualité Motel single Play Hard. On January 23rd, he released his debut solo single and video, Low Light (In This Space) featuring Dawn Pemberton on Do Right Music, followed by his second single and video, Hot Hot Heat featuring Kamilah Apong, on July 24th. He is scheduled to release his third single, Peace, on October 2nd and his EP called Good Morning Hunter on October 23rd. 

Ollie first emerged on the hip-hop scene after a life-changing car accident sparked an awakening, leading him to leave his athletic dreams behind and drop out of university.

It was music that Ollie turned to as a form of therapy. Music was always one of his passions, but not something he seriously pursued until coming face-to-face with death. Ollie shifted his focus to creating dynamic deliveries and engaging lyricism to reflect his experiences — including those concerning overcoming obstacles, facing adversity, and being proud of who you are. This path lead him to become the person he is today – an artist inspiring others using the mantra, “More Than Music.”

Pulling inspiration from hip-hop/r&b, pop, rock and country, the latter of which serving as representation of his small town upbringing, Ollie’s music presents itself as a unique catalogue of sounds and cadences. Cardiff-based, genre-fluid musical duo papaya noon have been making waves in the music industry with their unique and eclectic sound. TRINIX is a French duo of producers and musicians from Lyon, formed by Josh Chergui and Loïs Serre in 2012. From their childhood, they devoted a real passion about Music, they learned to play piano, drums, guitar and received a classical music training. Early on, they began to create their own music in their rooms.

Josh and Lois meet each other thanks to this common passion, Trinix is born on the principles of Music : learning, exchange, universality and sharing. At the beginning of 2013, they started to publish one song per week on their SoundCloud during 1 year. Their musical creations can be defined as a clever mix of new ideas with eclectic influences such as Marvin Gaye, Berlioz or Stromae...

This experience allowed them to acquire a solid foundation, but also to build real and strong links with their fans who saw them evolve, always with a thought of exchange wanted by the group. Today, the duo embodies the renewal of electronic music and they’re challenging the rules by combining all kinds of sounds from all over the world, mainly inspired by hip-hop and electro.

Since their first steps on stage at «Les Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges » in 2016, they played on the stages of the greatest French festivals. They also performed abroad, Belgium, Spain and the United States. Thanks to their culture (Music, Cinema...), their energy and their eclectic references, Josh and Loïs offer to their audience live shows that are lively, rich, luminous and varied.

After a first successful album in 2018, the duo continues to impress their fans by delivering original single like Rodeo which has reached more than 1 million streams in a few months and which has been broadcast on many radio stations around the world allowing it to climb to the top charts of many countries including Germany Russia and Poland.

Trinix is now going viral on the internet with videos in which Josh and Loïs revisit some famous and iconic themes such as Harry Potter, The Simpsons, etc... These videos are always reaching millions of views. Netflix has supported their work by reposting several of these videos on their networks.

Their work already totals more than 250 million streams.

Wannabe has been thrilling audiences and blowing the roof of concert venues across North America for the past 10 years. Wannabe is the brainchild of a group of Toronto based performers and musicians who also just happen to be best friends. Vancouver-based duo Young Bombs has had an exhilarating start to their career, making the bold leap from remixers to DJs/Producers.
