Cam Kahin has joined the Midnight Agency roster. Raised in Dunnville, Ontario and now based in Toronto, Kahin has emerged as one of Canada’s compelling new alt-rock voices, channeling small-town isolation, growing pains, and restless energy into music that is loud, vulnerable, and sharply personal. His debut album CHUG arrived via Dine Alone Records in January 2026.
Kahin’s catalogue has surpassed 2.95 million streams, while a TikTok featuring “hamilton” reached 6.7 million views. His rise has drawn coverage from Exclaim!, AFROPUNK, FLOOD Magazine, CBC, and RANGE, along with playlist support from Spotify and Amazon Music. Kahin was also featured on CBC’s Road to the JUNOs and selected by PUP as a guest-curated artist for Second Summer Festival in Toronto this September.
On stage, Kahin turns the tension at the heart of his songs into catharsis. His live shows are raw and physical, shaped by the hardcore rooms that first drew him into music and driven by the kind of communal release that comes from a packed room shouting back. That connection has carried him from his earliest shows in Hamilton to headlining sold out rooms.
Musically, Kahin moves between alternative rock, hardcore, emo, and pop-punk without settling neatly into any one lane. CHUG pushes those influences through distortion-heavy guitars and deeply self-reflective songwriting, giving a modern voice to the urgency of the music that shaped him. As RANGE described the album, it is “bursting at the seams with hardcore, emo, and pop punk sensibilities.”
