Joanna Magik, a Canadian DJ and producer with an energetic stage presence and releases on some of today’s most influential house music labels, has joined Midnight Agency.
Known for her live sets that cover all genres of house music, Joanna has captivated crowds at some of Canada’s largest dance music festivals including Badlands, Chasing Summer, Shambhala Music Festival, and debuting at Rifflandia this coming September.
Earlier this year, Joanna was selected to support American house-music phenom JWorra on the Canadian stops of her 2022 ‘Check Out’ tour, further cementing her status as one of Canada's most exciting rising talents in the genre.
While there are more genders in dance music now, there are still many more out there who need to be heard. As part of the Femme House Collective, founded by LP Giobbi and Hermixalot, Joanna can be found streaming live regularly on Twitch to raise awareness of under-represented genders in dance music.
“Music unlocks creativity and connection. It's complete immersion and release. I love sharing this energy with others” says Joanna.
Joanna knows no limits within her passion for music and movement, further proving that there is no industry she can’t crack. Her background as a professional athlete and sports announcer (including the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games) explain her big energy and advocacy for health and movement. Her certified fresh releases get her audience's footwork going whether it's the dance floor or the gym floor.
