Midnight turns 2.

Thank you for believing in our mission to elevate live music across Canada and abroad!

LOOKING BACK ON 2 YEARS OF MIDNIGHT:

It's hard to believe that Midnight Agency has already been in operation for two years. In that time, the agency's co-founders Nick Middleton and Grant Paley have established a remarkable presence in the entertainment industry while building a talented roster of diverse artists and booking over 600 shows in their second year alone.

Roster Growth

This past year Midnight's artist roster has grown substantially, with several exceptional artists joining the team. Notable new additions include Shaela Miller, Joanna Magik, Featurette, and Laxcity, each bringing their unique sound and style to the already diverse and talented roster.

Awards & Nominations

The team is incredibly proud of the numerous award nominations and wins that Midnight artists have received over the past year. DJ Shub took home the Juno Award for Indigenous Artist of the Year in 2022, while Luca Fogale received a Juno nomination for Contemporary Album of the Year. Harpaxe was nominated for Blues Album of the Year at the 2023 Juno Awards and took home the Western Canadian Music Award for Blues Artist of the Year.

Khanvict also received the Prism Prize Audience Choice award, while Rumpus and Harpaxe were nominated for WCMA awards. Additionally, Shaela Miller received the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal, which is a tremendous honour and a testament to her talent and dedication.

The recognition received by the agency's roster is a true testament to their exceptional talent and hard work. The team at Midnight is committed to continuing to support their growth and success, and looks forward to being a part of their artistic journey in the years to come.

Agency Expansion

Midnight Agency's co-founders Nick Middleton and Grant Paley have played a vital role in the agency's success. They have provided exceptional leadership and direction to the team, helping them navigate the challenges and opportunities of the music industry.

The agency welcomed two new hires, Sage McBride (Agency Assistant in the Vancouver Office), and Liam Colbert (Agency Assistant in the Toronto Office). Moreover, internal promotions were received by Mackenzie Thomas, who has been appointed Booking Coordinator in the Toronto Office, and Charissa Schamuhn, who has been promoted to Digital Marketing in the Vancouver Office.

Furthermore, the agency hosted its first event, The Rifflandia Midnight Afterparty, which was a massive success. It provided an opportunity for the artists to showcase their talent and connect with fans, partners, and supporters.

Industry Recognition

Midnight has also received recognition in the industry this year, with nominations for the CLMIA Outstanding Emerging Organization and Grant for Agent of the Year. Nick was shortlisted for the EDM Industry Leaders award in 2022, further cementing the agency's reputation as a leader in the music industry.

Looking Ahead

As Midnight Agency celebrates its second anniversary, the team is excited for whats ahead, with new artist signings in the works for 2023 as the roster continues to grow. Midnight thanks all of the clients, partners, and supporters for their continued trust and support. Here's to another year of growth, success, and great music!
